Spring Migration Bird Walk @ Mount Auburn Cemetery

Dezeree and her husband Benjamin will be spring birding at Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge. This is peak timing to see a large variety of warblers and other migrants. Please meet us near the front gates (we will do our best to find you!). The gates open promptly at 7:00am and the only bathrooms are near the entrance. We ask that you use the facilities and then we will head up to "The Dell" area. They have maps available for $.50 at the cemetery or you can pre-buy them here https://www.mountauburn.org/copy-of-cemetery-map/

We will be spending many hours birding, so please, please, please, wear proper footwear. Also, bring binoculars and field guide if you have one. And, we politely ask that you keep your cell phones on silent. This is a watch, listen and learn event and many bird apps can confuse migratory birds into false hope of an available mate nearby.

Please register on this page by May 1st

Skill Details:
This is a beginner/intermediate level event. Some knowledge will be helpful as it can be overwhelming during spring migration. We will still bird with a light drizzle and will cancel if the weather looks bad.
Requirements:
Please bring binoculars, proper footwear and a bird guide if you have one. We ask that phones are on silent and put away. This is a look, listen and learn event! Oh, and bring your bug spray!
