Skinner Mountain Warbler Walk

Dezeree and her husband Benjamin will be looking for spring migrants at J.A. Skinner State Park in Hadley MA. J.A. Skinner State Park is home to more than 400 acres of forest on Mt. Holyoke. The park and access road provides an interesting spot to see our returning migrants, including the "rare jewel" the Cerulean Warbler, known for it's beautiful blue and white plumage!

Please meet us promptly at 7:00am @ Skinner Mountain Trail Head Parking Lot We will be walking up via the access auto road. The walk will be a total of 4.5-5 miles. We will be spending many hours birding, so please, please, please, wear proper footwear. Also, bring binoculars, a field guide(if you have one) and BUG SPRAY. And, we politely ask that you keep your cell phones on silent. This is a watch, listen and learn event and many bird apps can confuse migratory birds into false hope of an available mate nearby.

Please register on this page by May 2nd
